Moving to the new analysis platform – important please read!

We are delighted to inform you that over the next 7 days we will be moving you all over to a new integrated analysis tool built on Qlikview technology, a tool we really feel is in keeping with the project in general. It is important you read the below, to ensure you transition as easily as possible.

Qlikview comes from a business information background and is a far more fluid approach to analysis. It is so easy to set up and modify we’re sure that you won’t need to save and store work. More importantly it provides us with a set of tools that allow us to implement an analysis solution completely bespoke to the GWI, which means we can continually develop new features and functions and we are not locked into a company’s product development cycle. We are sure you will be very happy with it and find it much easier to apply than the previous solution.

Of course we welcome your feedback as we roll this out, so please get in touch. Also please follow the instructions below to ensure an easy transition.

Benefits of Qlikview

  • Very easy to use – can start without training
  • Many of our users come from a strategic / planning background and are not dedicated researchers, Qlikview caters for this type of user
  • Run visual charted analysis and amend charts on the fly
  • Works in any browser – even iPhone (although we are yet to test that one)
  • Visually select and deselect what you want to look at on charts
  • Build and save complex segments from components without coding
  • Run vertical / horizontal / count and index variables
  • Export easily straight into excel / PPT
  • The flexibility of Qlikview allows us to constantly add new elements. The following features are scheduled over the next few months:
    • A visual mapping tool that provides universe figures and total population reach estimates for web behaviour / social media
    • Each client with private / data questions will get their own page for running analysis against their bespoke questions
    • When we release wave 3, we will add a trending component that allows you to easily and simply analyse across waves

Setting you up

Over the next few days you will be provided a link to access the Qlikview platform. Initially you will need to sign in again with the same username and password. Over time, once we have tested the security, this will be accessed through single sign on (no need to double sign on) and later it will be integrated directly into the site.

While we transition over from Confirmit, we ask you to start using the new platform and get a feel for how it works. From April the 1st we will no longer be making Confirmit available to you for analysis, so please export or transition any work prior to that date.

To make things easier, we can provide unlimited help and analysis over the next few weeks. We will also be in touch over the next few weeks we will be in contact to organise training on the new tool. In the meantime please contact support with any analysis / segments you want us to create and develop for you in the new tool.
