Marketing Lead – Fulltime

Entrepreneurial role to drive Trendstream’s external presence globally, positioning it as a thought leader in the social media and online space. This role will be responsible for all aspects of social, online, and inbound marketing. They will utilise and develop on the Trendstream intellectual properties to initiate external interest and engagement through social and traditional marketing channels, generating publicity, representing our agency, and ultimately creating business leads. They will use their strategic and marketing skills to develop and distribute targeted content that will channel demand for our products and services.

Trendstream is an expanding digital research and consultancy dedicated to understanding trends in technology adoption and what they mean for consumer behaviour, marketing communications, media, and content. Trendstream launched the Global Web Index in September 2009, research that explores global trends in web usage and online behaviour, social media adoption, the role for brands in the digital world, and other areas of technology and digital evolution. Trendstream already has a client base of global brands and multi-national agencies including Microsoft, Nokia, Dell, Zenith Optimedia, Mediaedge: CIA, WPP group, EuroRSCG, Ogilvy, DDB, Millward Brown and many more.

This role is a unique opportunity to deliver market leading social media activation across many platforms, including blogs, Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, video platforms and many more. You will also work to integrate our social channels with PR, search, and direct marketing activities. We are a leader in research and ideas in online marketing and we have to practice what we preach. You will also practise more traditional forms or marketing including representing the agency in industry events and media relationships.

Experience and qualities needed

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in traditional and social media marketing, preferably in an online agency environment
  • Extensive knowledge and application of social media marketing techniques
  • Hands on experience of SEO and SEM
  • Ability to work across a multiple markets
  • Strategic mindset and experience. Experience in applying data and services to client business objectives and needs
  • Experience of organising and promoting events
  • Strong knowledge of the web, social media, and marketing communications at an international level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to develop and deliver innovative ideas and concepts
  • Someone who is hands on and willing to do the work, not dictate the work

Day to day tasks

  • Implementing and developing social media activation
  • Optimising search
  • Engaging directly with potential customers / leads through social channels and more traditional marketing tools
  • Develop list of potential leads and use one to one marketing techniques to initiate interest
  • Working with the analysts to develop content to be published
  • Liaising with our external designers and PR agency to develop agency annual plan and integrate internal and external approach
  • Developing and managing a community of contributors / researchers / bloggers

Salary & Bonus

  • £26-28K basic depending on experience
  • December bonus based on deliverables and volume of inbound leads (0% > 30%)
  • Additional incentives for ad hoc projects

Analysts, Full and part time: Global Web Index and bespoke projects

Experienced data insight analysts are needed to turn our data into stories and provide clients with an understanding of trends and data. This individual must have an exceptional knowledge of web, technology and social media, plus know what output agencies and marketing professionals look for. Analysts will also be responsible for managing and delivering ad hoc client projects and producing written content and analysis for a number of our products
